No literally drugged the donkey not a sexual reference. More of a green acres monument with my dress clothes on coming straight from work to take care of my girl.

I was surprised how long it took. I had to give her a full tube of Dormesdan as directed by the vet. Took a full 50 minutes to kick in enough to trim her hooves.

Direct injection is quicker, but it can get kinda exciting when the critter doesn’t like needles…

My Dongkey is a Mammoth according to my wife.

Yes, I had a 1,200 horse that would periodically colic, usually at night. The biggest broblem I had was the needle would clog with his flesh. I recently threw away the 6 backup syringes filled with ketamine.
*edit to add* After a couple visits, the vet gave us some for the next time(s). I didn’t know what ketamine was at the time & just kept them in the fridge.
