Hey!
I am finally making the leap over here. After CSC went to crap, er, the Canadians, I pretty much drifted off into the ether. I've been spending the majority of my online forum time on pistol-forum.com, soaking up knowledge from the SMEs over there, and on czfirearms.us where I am sysadmin.
I live in the Concord area and am an IT guy (developer/dba/sysadmin) for a manufacturer in Matthews and I also serve as the team leader for the company's security team. The latter responsibility led me to become a credentialed firearms instructor and, so far, that has opened doors to do some private instruction on the side with a focus on self defense and active killer response when time has allowed.
While I cut my teeth on striker-fired semiautos as many do, my overwhelming preference is for hammer-fired TDA guns. As you may have surmised CZs are a particular passion ;-)
I'm looking forward to settling in.
Cheers,
Tim
