How you do dat
My beef in this matter is with flat head screws/bolts.exactly
Did you try this before or after you had breakfast this morning?
Do you not have a set of roll pin starters?
i agree on the firing pin retention cotter pin, there must be a better way!
A nice set of Grace punches and starters will make all your woes go away.
Gas tube is solid on the end and has a hole that the roll pin goes through when you drive it through the gas blockHow does a roll pin (or any other pin for that matter) retain the gas tube in the gas block?
Next time try using a pinser tipped set of vice grips to compress the pin.
@Tim what did you use to label inside the dust cover, I like that idea!
I see what your problem was. You were using a right handed hammer and punch on a left handed roll pin.Aaaaaaannnnnnndddddddd.....we’re done.
Tore down my 300BLK to rebuild on a lefty upper. Built this one out of that upper receiver and BCG plus spares that I had around. Lower is a “blem” Aero I picked up on sale a couple weeks ago.
Basic 16” 5.56. Nothing fancy.
