help me choose my first wheelgun

Forget the dash, no dash, dozens of models S&W :)......Ruger keeps it simple and make them tough without a dash. GP100/SP101/LCR

I found this thread just now.
I'm a NRA Instructor.
I have been teaching for many years,, especially to a lot of ladies.
I have found it's BEST to have the following;
A few identical models,, with different grips on them,,, to show the differences in how it fits different hands.
Present models that are well known,, have a solid reputation, and are currently manufactured. Ruger & S&W have several of these types.
Understand that CCW means different things to different people.
You MUST try & & present the students with good options,, to fit their needs.
When I teach,, I have used a variety of different firearms with different grips, etc to allow the students CHOICES,, to where they can make an educated decision on what will work for them.
Lastly,, explain that what I have represents a small percentage of what's actually available. I strongly suggest that students go to a few gun shows, different gun shops,, and study different guns prior to a purchase. And to NOT let money be a deciding factor on something you may have to use to save your life or the lives of family. Quality, known reputation, and availability, ALL are important. Currently,, American made stuff where revolvers are considered,, leaves Ruger & S&W as the better choices.
