From a store? You think all those places are illegally shipping ammo to your door? 🤔

You can ship ammo as well, just have to play by the rules.

Yup, perfectly legal. Only they don't ship all the way to Pumpkintown, they only ship as far as Pickens.

Lucky for you I'm at the end of the line. Just have 'em shipped to me. I'll let you know when they arrive and you can come pick them up. 😁

Welcome...

One of our CFF members owns his own company manufacturing, selling, and shipping 9mm and 40cal ammo (subsonic and supersonic). We all buy ammo from him! He'll ship it right to your front door.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
Go Tigers !

Hello from Raleigh, you're going to like it here on CFF.

Welcome Clark!

It is perfectly legal to purchase ammunition by mail order in almost all locations. Some states may have a minimum age for buying pistol ammo (21), and some locations with goofy gun control laws may prevent it (NY City, New Jersey, etc). So be sure to check SC’s age requirements.

Also, there are many different types of ammo. Factory loads (new) versus reloads (remanufactured ammo using once-fired cartridge cases), Brass cased versus aluminum cased versus steel cased, lead versus copper jacketed bullets, bullet shape, and intended purpose (practice/target versus self defense). All these factors affect the price of the ammo.

A friend of mine who was new to the hobby made the mistake of buying “bullets” instead of ”ammo or cartridges”. He was quite surprised when his order arrived and it contained just “bullets”, not ammunition.

As you’ve probably figured out, a “bullet” is the portion of the cartridge that exits the barrel. People who reload their own ammunition will buy them for reloading purposes.

Ammunition or cartridges is probably what you need.

Best of success to you and welcome to the hobby.

Welcome, we're happy to have you with us.

Welcome!

Ammo is legal to buy and ship to your house in both NC and SC....for now.

Make sure to vote for pro-gun candidates and donate to gun rights organizations like GOA and FPC and/or your local SC org if you want to keep ordering it online.

As others have said, make sure you are ordering "cartridges" or "ammunition" and not just "bullets". Some products labeled "bullets" are actually reloading components for people that make thier own ammunition.

You should post a link to what you want to order.
Start a new thread and tell us what gun you are trying to buy ammo for.

Hi Y’all, I’m Clark from Pumpkintown, SC. I’m really happy to be part of this community. I’m fairly new to the firearms world and was looking to network. I have a few questions about purchasing bullets, I’m confused about the legality of shipping… Thank you!
