Just wanted to thank you guys for letting me join. I'm Brian Brown and I'm in Clayton, NC. I'm originally from upstate New York, but I got here in 2004, as fast as I could. I was never a real "gun person" because the laww in NY were so much worse, but being here, I've found how much I enjoy shooting. Thanks again for letting me join!

Hello from Raleigh, I escaped from LI NY in 1991.
In 1977 I wanted a Ruger .22 pistol for target shooting at the county range,
the application for the permit to buy the pistol was six pages NCR paper,
worse then a mortgage application, needed five references not blood or marriage related.
Never bothered to get the permit, only good for purchase and transporting to from range, not to carry.

Welcome from another upstate NY (buffalo) escapee. Left in 98 while still waiting for my gun permit to be processed there. I had a buddy call me about 6 months after I moved here to let me know that they had called him to check on my references, this was about a year after I applied. I already had bought my first pistol here and was working on getting my carry permit. f- NY with that BS!
