Anyone going this year? It’s all weekend long and Monday. I havent been in about 7 years. The Mrs and I are gonna ride up tomorrow morning and spend the day goofing off

What time are you thinking to get there?

My brother and I used to set up there several years ago. We would hoard up stuff to sell all year. It was a long 4 days but we would leave with pockets full of cash. eBay and then the whole internet hurt it as far as getting deals on stuff. It's been over 20 years since I've been. Hey, @Burt Gummer , it's a great place to break in a brand new pair of cowboy boots.

Holy shit. Tons of people. Hot as balls. And when we were in the vfw building looking at guns, I told Diana I needed to go to the officer in the building that was watching things and tell him I neeeded to report a rape.

Havent been in years. My last memory there was at least a decade ago, carrying around two rifles for my dad to sell
But remember going as a child and just how MASSIVE it was. Maybe next year, I think I could appreciate it much more

Been going to the Hillsville flea market my entire life and I've watched it just dwindle down to almost pointless of goin. The "gunshow" inside the vfw has the same old crusty guys that's been there for 30 years trying to sell the same old over priced crusty guns for 30 years. And there's always a couple that are only there to show off there collections and don't want nobody lookin or touching anything. One of the guys had his stuff set out few years ago and I was standing lookin at some knives at table beside him when i seen a little kid probably 5 or 6 come up with his dad and the kid reached up and just touched one of the rifles the guy had on table and he jumped up and flew off the handle at the little boy about not touching the stuff. The dad grabbed his son and walked off. I would have flattened the guys nose for him had it been me. I didn't go this year cause I didn't need cell phone cases or mil surp clothing items. I enjoy more all the small flea markets and yard sales that set up everywhere around the main show. Alot of what used to be vendors is now extra parking it's really a sad sight from what it was 10 20 years ago.

My FIL bought a Ruger handgun on year in the VFW. When he walked out the door there was a guy asking him to sell it. Pretty sure it was an ATF guy his look screamed fed. Funny part was I don't know how it works in VA. My FIL owns property but doesn't live there and the guy sold him a hand gun. Now my FIL is pretty ignorant when it comes to gun laws and the guy just allowed it. I'm not sure still.

I'm not sure of all the gun laws anywhere anymore. They change so often. I know back in the day every table inside or outside would have atleast one gun for sale and tons of people walking around with guns on there shoulders with for sale signs on them. Now they don't allow the regular outside flea market vendors to sell guns. And to legally buy inside I believe you have to be VA resident or have the item shipped to an ffl in the state you reside. But I'm sure there is still plenty under the table deals goin on.
