HK also filed (with the German police export crap) for approval of the exportation of a chrome-lined MR556.
 
what's the cost difference between buying the sl8 and converting vs just buying the tommybuilt?
 
21" barrel, 39" OAL, heavy, clumsy looking stock... I just don't get it?

Don't get me wrong, not every rifle has to make sense, but paying H&K money for what looks like a fighting rifle it should at least be able to compete with other actual fighting rifles in the same class. Or maybe I'm just a poor and don't understand the finer things in life.
 
The stupid stock and grip help the rifle qualify for import.

LUV me some H&K, but that Sarah Brady butthole stock needs some MAJOR-LEAGUE Dremel-tooling (BETTER still, a G3-style side-folder). Barrel needs a decent F/H or muzzlebreak.

5 rd. 'doorstop' magazine needs replaced with a Magpul FULL capacity mag. Hope they knock all THOSE costs to make it "usable," off THEIR price... 🤔
