I wonder if I could cut a piece of material that was thin enough and slide it in the gap…same stuff wipes are made from. 🤔Maybe it will quiet down as it gets dirty. Don't clean it!
Hell, 22 shorts.Wonder how CCI Quiet would sound through it suppressed?

Might not last more than a couple shots, but I’m curious.
Nope, but it will keep bulk pack subsonic.
UNSUPPRESSED … If you spring a 22/45 lightly enough it will cycle Quiets 2 out of 3 times and you‘ll notice a drop in report but out of a revolver it is hardly noticeable. If you ever want to know just how much gas seeps out between the cylinder and forcing cone on a revolver put a piece of tissue paper over the top strap and fire a round. You‘ll think twice about thumb placement in your grip with some of the bigger bores … especially a .460SW!Wonder how CCI Quiet would sound through it suppressed?
And for some very odd reason (as suggested in another thread) I may be going full retard and think the 3rd one where it’s wearing that little brake is kinda cool too. Throw it on an already loud .22mag revolver and that combo might be funny obnoxious at the range. The looks from the guys on each side of you might be especially if you go from a nice quiet suppressed semi-auto to a braked .22mag revolver … 🤬I’m not gonna lie, the second one looks pretty cool!

I would ask some of the 3d print guys to make a sleeve once you can measue yours.I wonder if I could cut a piece of material that was thin enough and slide it in the gap…same stuff wipes are made from. 🤔

Maybe I’ll send it down with @Gunbelt one weekend. Somebody around there ought to have a rimfire can to slap on it. 😎Keep us posted.....interesting
Oh wow.Muffs love it
Don’t know when it got updated, but they’ve added the HTC to the list:Oh wow.

It wasn’t there when I posted the link. I submitted a request for it. Also contacted them via IG. I’ll admit I pulled the “I’m the moderator in the Silencer section of AR15.com card and would love to get my hands on one of these to try out” card…not sure if that helps or hurts.
So how was it?On this one the bigger the better for a silencer. Ive only shot it in my garage so far. Taking it out for more in the morning

Fing loudSo how was it?
Could you even tell a difference?Fing loud
Those rusted out cylinder photos are an embarrassment to either Academy or Heritage.I shot mine yesterday. Bare muzzle, with the obnoxiously large brake, and with a silencer. I’m not sure I could tell a difference between any of the three methods (using CCI SV). I did have plugs in for all three.
Didn’t get a chance to try 22WMR due to a rusted out cylinder Academy shipped me.
It is in the movies! You mean that it isn't so? 🤣Yeah I don't think it would be even close to quiet with a can attached.
Made any progress on the modification? The cylinder gap on mine is around .006" resting which is fine. Problem is that it moves to ..030 when firing which is WAY too much. The fix for the heritage is going to have to be to counterbore the ratchet and install a bushing to push the cylinder forward. I'll do mine here in the next few weeks . Easy job
No. Ive got my new lathe on the way . Wont be here until Monday. I did take it out last weekend and found it a LOT quieter with a 9mm silencer vs a .22/.223 specific silencer.Made any progress on the modification?
Do anything else on this? No. Ive got my new lathe on the way . Wont be here until Monday. I did take it out last weekend and found it a LOT quieter with a 9mm silencer vs a .22/.223 specific silencer.
Funny thing is my middle son was telling me he wanted a .22 as he couldnt afford to shoot his other guns on his college budget. I can relate and I offered him a dozen or so different .22's including some top shelf stuff.. He chose the heritage. Dumbass.
