Homemade heavy duty car ramps (< $20)

That’s an idea…does it stick to wood like it would metal?
I suspect it would as long as the wood was dry. Might want to check several brands. Treated lumber would need to be stored in the dry for quite a while to make sure it is dry enough. I used some before that was so wet, when you would drive a nail in it, water would run out.

You could also sprinkle play sand or aquarium gravel on it while its wet to add to the "grippy" surface.

Happened to see this brand as I was walking an aisle today. So there are definitely some that work with wood.

That, or maybe leaving the sharp corner would work better.

I'm thinking the flat area between the angle cuts is too short, looks like as you hit the next upward angle there could be some tire tread hanging off the back side of whatever flat you're on. Less tire making contact is less traction.

Possibly…

But that’s also a lot of spinning on the first step.

Pretty cool idea, but for $55 I went the store bought route. They're light, sturdy, and it took less time to go get them that it would to build a set. They were well reviewed too.

…which works fine, unless you want four and those won’t fit in front of the rear tires.

I drove off the end of a similar set of ramps, which convinced me that ramps plus front wheel drive were not a good combination for me. A floor jack and jack stands work for my limited needs.

I've done with the old school metal ones. These have a pretty solid stop built in.

My front wheel diesel crawls right up them, so does the diesel truck in 4 low.
