I've always been a black coffee in the morning and never past noon kinda guy, but over Christmas break I began to indulge in the occasional late in the day cup of joe.

Unfortunately, caffeine that late in the day really keeps me up at night. I tried decaf, but the magic was not there. I think coffee is, for me, best kept to the mornings.

However, that did lead me down a path of trying to find nice hot beverage on a cold night. After some googling and reading, I heard about something called Rooibos tea.

It reminds me of black tea, but more subtle and no caffeine. It's a little earthier and the brew is distinctly copper red. I've been enjoying it with a splash of cream.

Has anyone else ever tried Rooibos?

What about other caffeine free teas? Any recommendations?

I don't know about caffeine free, but I can say that my desire for coffee has faded over the past couple of months after drinking a lot more tea.

I've had Rooibos tea before and enjoy it regardless of caffeine content....

Ever tried Kava?

Beware, it is taxing on the liver and should not be consumed when you've had alcohol.
