I was sent over here from NC4x4 because I like guns and you folks seem to like them as well. :)

I'm located near Asheville, and I'm from Boone originally. (But I was born in Michigan... my family is political refugees.)

Anyways. I like things that go pew, pizza, a good cigar, and Rolling Rock, but my wife drinks a lot of wine so I tend to drink that too. ;) I was also suggested this site because I wrote a book that you folks may find interesting enough to help me polish off. There's a thread already started on it, but by demand, I'm here making my newbie post.

I've poked around a good bit and it looks like I'm going to enjoy my time here.

Anyone know how to turn off the WATCH THREAD option? I really don't need an email for every thread I post in.

Go to the top of the thread and click the unwatch thread link or go to your profile and click Alert Preferences. There you will see two boxes you can uncheck.

Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply

and receive email notifications of replies
