So, had vacation and got bored. Decided to try a fast/cheap mod after shooting my old 1st gen LCP.

Went to Hobby Lobby and bought:
white base coat
orange rear sight
green front sight
misc package of brushes

Very easy to do but holy crap are the sights small! I didn't actually have the 'correct' brush as you can tell if you zoom in on the pics. If I ever do this again I'll get another brush.
Anyway, I'm relatively pleased and decided on this acrylic ink vs the others b/c it pops in the light. The photoluminescent orange and green just didn't pop like these do.

Anyway, I have a crap ton of the stuff now and wouldn't be against meeting up with members to borrow it if you'd like to try it out. Just hit me up in a PM.

@DarrenC, FWIW, I use a wooden tooth pick to apply the acrylic paint to my sights and use an empty primer tray to put the paint in. Just dab it on.

Off the subject but while speaking of primer trays, they also work great for Loctite on small screws and bolts.

lol I was just thinking that the other day. Took the motorcycle out and there's a pocket on my jacket that fits the LCP just right. Putting it back in the safe and thinking man, the sights are non-existent on this thing. I'd say they're almost as small as GI sights on a 1911.

Took my Colt to the range yesterday. Halfway thru the second mag the white dot fell out of the front sight. After about 4 coats of nail polish it looks like this:

Post pictures of the paint you used so we know what to look for. Thanks

Hi Grits - I put hyperlinks in the post for the colors. PM me if you have issues and I can send pics.

Neat trick for fixing that - I put a 1/16" or 3/32" polystyrene rod (like you would use for hobbying) in, glue in place and cover with clear nail polish.

Before that I was a lumping in JB Quik and painting on top.
