I like this 1911

Nice. More beaver than I’d have opted for, but a fair trade for no front cocking serrations and tastful markings.

Who built that?

Well, you cost me money, Chuck. Under $700 shipped. Gotta add it to the cart to see the real price:

Thank you for posting about this!:)

Anyone seen one of these in person or any of their other guns? Looks nice for a reasonable price. I haven't bought a 1911 for awhile so I think I'm due.

The TISAS guns I've handled have been great for the price point. This one has more bells and whistles than the typical $400 TISAS. Looks like a lot of pistol for the money. I'll post a review when I get it and can shoot it.

But on topic...I really like the looks of this ol'slabsides.

If one is OK with a 'retro'-type build that's a great price for those features. And only about $4,000 less than one Vickers would build himself.

Took it to the range for the first time today. Got the sights dialed in for 25 yards by the second magazine and away we went. Shot just over 100 rounds of some old Winchester white box 230 grain ball we had on hand. Trigger is excellent out of the box. Once we got settled in, we were able to keep 3” groups at 25 yards offhand. We shot gongs from 2.5” diameter up to full sized silhouette and rang them boringly consistently. The trigger would catch on reset occasionally and I think it is from the gummy grease that coated everything when the pistol came out of the box. I’ll detail clean and lube it and see if that takes care of it.

Overall, I am very impressed thus far.

Hmmm … do I see a couple of these on someone’s table at the Dixie in the near future?

Unfortunately, not mine. I don’t have any wholesalers who carry TISAS. I bought this one from Family Firearms.
