I have an old (built '60s) garage that is on a concrete slab, but the wood was placed on the concrete and termites have gotten into it.
It has power and water ran to it now, water is capped off at this time.

22' x 42'
I want a 19' x 12' door and a 3' door, one window in the back.
Lean-to-shed on side (42') for open storage.
14'/15' ceiling.

I need a general idea of cost to replace.
Opt 1 = 2 levels of concrete block and wood framing.
Opt 2 = 2 levels of brock and metal framing.
Opt 3 = Concrete block walls for main area.

I figure pre-made rafters would be the best/easiest roof.
I want galvanized metal roofing.

Want do you guys think it would cost me?

Best guess today on your slab is $20 sqft for nice structure. Lead times and contractor availability is very long.

you’ll need a footing under a block wall. You should check out under the slab as part of your planning.

Any way to repair the old garage? Maybe take out the bad wood and use a couple rows of cement blocks? Just thinking out loud.

Just getting ready to start my barn. Mine is a "T" shaped footprint that require a 36' x 36' footprint and will include a 10' x 24' covered open area on both sides.
The footprint footings, 816 sq ft x 6" deep concrete, and 3 blocks high around the perimeter (less door openings) is getting done for $11k (including grading).
I have a materials list for the rest (framing, siding, roofing, doors/windows) that comes to about another $11k. I'm on the list for a framer to do the framing and sheathing, but he's booked till the first of the year.
No price from him yet, but I'm estimating around $5k.barn4.jpg

This is '60s construction by a plumber and his electrician son, neither had much knowledge of carpentry.
Nothing against the plumber/electrician, house is plumbed in PEX and the wiring is good to go.

I'm no help, I thought you were replacing the slab.

For the roof, I'd go with "Galvalume" rather than galvanized. I did our bathhouse at the lake with that 7 years ago and still looks new.
I also ran a strip of ZIP tape across the roof sheathing where the screws for the roofing were to go. Just a little "under roof" seal for the
screws. I used the ZIP sheathing so had the tape anyway.
When you're ready for the roof panels let me know, I supposedly get them wholesale, cut to length. Don't know what your length will be but I have a 12' trailer and could get them as far as Laurens, SC. Might save you some....might not.
