I put an optic on my G44....

What's the weight difference between the OEM slide setup and the aftermarket slide + optic? I see what they say on their web site, but curious what you're seeing in real life.

Really curious which ammo types it will run with as well. They say super-X and green box hi-vel, neither of which I have much experience with.

I haven't weighed them, but I can tell you nothing I've handled makes me doubt the numbers on their site. It's very lightweight.

I don't keep either of those ammo brands on hand either. FWIW I've got two advantage arms kits that have similar ammo recommendations and I've had acceptable performance from Federal Bulk pack, automatch, and Minimags.

And those are the ammo brands I'll test this with first.

My AA kit was very picky, so let's hope your luck holds with this new addition.

I made it out to DPRC this morning to test drive this slide.

It ran well with Mini Mags, 4 failures to eject over the course of 300 rounds. And those 4 were all in the first few mags. Almost like it needed to break in.

It did NOT run well with federal bulk pack. Couldn't get through a mag without folding a round in half.

It was all over the place with automatch. I'd get a few mags to run OK and then it would choke on every other round.

All in all I'm happy that it runs with Minimags. I'll probably try some Aquila HV at some point as well, but I didn't have any with me. I doubt CCI SV would have the oomph to cycle the slide, but I'll likely try it as well next time.

A couple targets. The first is a mix of all three ammunition types listed above. I was getting the optic walked in from left to right. Second is all Minimags.

RR try some of the CCI AR Tactical. (Part # 956) Works really well in the five SR22's we have out here. CCI claims the bullet shape is optimized for semi-autos, and others say it's got "more wax" on it, but idk about that.
Accuracy is good to very good, and it shoots the same poi every time so it's pretty easy to dial it in. In the rimfire world there seems to be somewhat of a hair-splitting argument between the tactical and the mini-mags.
In terms of 'best' accuracy I seem to get excellent results with that German SK standard plus. Oily as hell though, messy to handle, and you need to look a-bit deeper to find it.
