So many on here know I sell things. I actually had some powder up for sale and a guy from Durham was interested. We met up and just started talking about reloading and some other Gun stuff and I mentioned I had a model 66-1 that i love but it has some pitting on the sides and under the trigger guard. @Etruett had told me how to fix that but he overestimates my skills.
Well it just so happens that this feller had gone to gun smith school and said it shouldn’t be too hard but to get him some pics so he could see. I sent pics that night and he said he could do it and we settled on what I thought was a fair price.
He seemed like a good guy but I was kinda nervous that I was just gonna hand over my revolver to a guy whom I hadn’t known for more then 30 minutes F2F. He could not come back or even worse, come back with a butchered revolver.
I don’t think he even had my gun for 8 hours and he was sending pics of his finished product. I didn’t even think it was the same gun. He really did a fantastic job and I couldn’t be happier. I have no idea if he is looking to do any work for others but will vouch for his trustworthiness and his handiwork for what he did for me. I also believe if something is over his head he would decline the work instead of messing something up.
