Just finished up a marathon 2 day tune of granddaughters new 2000 s10 2.2l

Coils, spark wires and plugs. Air oil and fuel filter. Oil change. Valve cover gasket. Thermostat. Coolant. Front and rear brakes. Fuel pump. Fixed gas guage. Replaced exhaust manifold and head pipe and muffler. New tires. 4 ball joints. greased suspension. All new vacuum lines. New rear view mirror. Cleaned it in and out. Topped off the gas.

Next?

Take a break and in a week service trans and filter, shift servos and replace trans mount. Maybe the cat and o2 sensors too

That S10 is a southern truck that spent just enough time north to get boogered up and rusted. 140K miles and running fairly good for a significant lack of PMCS over its lifetime. First truck for Granddaughter. Figger to get her 2 years reliable out of it. Mostly $20 jobs here and there and it leaks just enough oil to keep her head under the hood paying attention to, as i described it to her, "Your first key to independence as a young woman, take care of it"......

Now if i can just get her check and refill the oil instead of just looking under the hood at all the pretty mechanical doohickies and the "go roundy round thingie that looks like a belt"......

Good on ya, Pops! :) Hope that young 'un appreciates her Granpa - she's got a good one.

The S10's are solid little trucks. Sounds like you will have that running in good shape for a long while.

Thats a bit older than a pt cruiser. Just aBout 82 years old here in a few days. A lil bigger too. Almost 19ft long as i recall

Dang dude, you really were on a marathon of fixes on that thing! That's a lot to do in two days
