Just confirmed that a 2-gun match that I really enjoyed will not be held this year, and depending may not re-emerge.

So I'm looking for leads on any 2-gun matches in NC and details thereof.

Personally I'd like to find a match that through whatever means be it divisions, or themes is friendly to iron sighted rifles. as my current "battery" does not include anything with even a red-dot.

also, for personal reasons not needing airing here, even if their 2-gun matches are still being run I have no interest in any ZSA matches.

It's a fun match. 4 stages. Usually completed by 1:30-2:00.

Relaxed equipment rules. Can pretty much run what ya brung, if it is safe. Max targets like 50 yards maybe.

Thanks for the lead guys, i'll definitely look into it when I get a chance :) Currently in the middle of a job change and things are hectic.

May be like the Club I joined in Texas, have a membership cap and a steady core of people. In the 14 or 15 years I was a member depending on the fortunes of the local major industry (chemical plants), membership fluctuated between "we're well below cap" and "it's gonna take a year or more to get through the backlog of applications".

And that place was out at the far end as far as "Houston area ranges".
  • being an hour south of the point where "Houston" gives way to Rice fields,
  • on a secondary road (An FM or Farm to Market route for folks that have been to TX),
  • with the one and only piece of signage facing south when the majority of folks looking for the place would come from the north.
But it had one of the few full 600yrd High Power ranges, it's own Cowboy Town for CAS matches, and (at a separately located shotgun range) the only fully "Legal" International Trap setup SE Texas (4H team got tired of having to drive to Dallas to shoot a legal round before Jr Olympic tryouts)

It's been years, but when I plugged it in my GPS it was another half mile or so up the road. Small sign. Nice place, fun match. May go again sometime.

Specifically Rimfire though. It wasn't specified, but the dprc one is Rimfire. The other one NKD talked about is center-fire.

Precisely.

In one match you gotta shoot the rim of the target. In the other you shoot at the center.

Pretty self explanatory.
