Jeff Cook lead guitarist for musicsl group Alabama dead at 73

When I saw them at the Bowery in the 70's they were called Wild Country. Still have one of their cassettes. Back then they had a different drummer. Mark came in just before their first album was released. They were working for tips then. I had a few shots of tequila and chased with Budweiser. .During their first tour I went on their bus and did a shot before the show at Reynolds coliseum in Raleigh.

My parents saw them at the Bowery, too. Signed up for their non-existant (at the time) fan club. A few years later they started receiving stuff in the mail, and did for years. I really liked their first 3 albums. I don't think Mark was ever more than a touring musician.
