Is it a getting old thing that you start to enjoy jogging? My wife started walking a while back, every night, with the girls. I started going with them on my nights off.
One night we took the dog and he was being a spaz so I took off jogging with him to try and wear him out. He loved it and I got a better workout than walking. And with my job recently getting any workout has been tough. But jogging in cargo shorts, gun belt, P238, and all the assorted junk in my pocket was not so much fun. Only ran one lap.
Next time out I went prepared and pulled off 2 laps. Bought shorts and a tank top just to run in. Put in 3 laps the next time and 4.5 laps tonight plus a 1.5 laps walking. I think that's about 3.25 miles or so jogging based on the map of the track. Before you know it I'll be buying shoes, running 5k's, and telling everyone they need to start jogging. lol I do think the best thing that helped me was I was starting out in better shape than I ever have. Riding the bike and working out was a good start. I don't feel like I'm going to pass out after 100 yards. But I am really enjoying this, and I used to hate running.
