Just bought a gas stove, question?

Metal filler tube on the back, you may need to fashion an adaptor from flex-seal tape to fit your yellow filler tube, and also a shelf to hold the can at 90 degrees so the gas will flow.

Watch out for mini camera's tossed into your garage at Zero-dark-thirty!

An illustration of how stupid the gas stove drama is. It's just about control, if it was just about safety they would mandate carbon monoxide detectors.
I agree, they want everything to be electric and for us to rely on electricity. Could be the gas stove sells were down and they needed to boost them. Lol

I recently installed an air quality monitor and every time I fire up the gas oven, increased VOCs trigger alerts. Now I'm on the fence about having one but I think better ventilation will be the long term solution.

Are you on the fence about driving on traffic? More pollutants and much more likely to harm you.

Did you submit finger prints, photos, get a background check and submit the 200 dollar tax stamp to Duke power yet?

Unfortunately they were, but for a short time. I think with the better ventilation, it may not even spike up for that short time. We'll see!
Typically exposure limits have a time factor- e.g. 100 parts per million for 8 hours, 500 ppm for 1 hour, etc. Just curious how far above the limits did you go, and what are the limits? Thanks for the feedback.

Air quality-shmality. We used kerosene heaters for years with a pot of potpourri to help mask the fumes. Just gives the immune system something to practice on.

Get a good fan for the range hood and run it with the oven.... you'll live.

Considering how infrequently you use a gas stove and how cleanly it burns, I do wonder if there is a real hazard or is it just another internet lie. I had an unvented gas fireplace I used for several years, it was great- but all I had was a CO monitor. I tend to think that the amount of pollutants are so small as to not be of concern, or else they would have been banned a long time ago.

Kerosene, no idea how clean that is. But yes, much of the hazards seem to be more internet legend and eco nut stuff than fact.
