I bought this rig from a couple of guys in Va who had dreams of putting it on the air after winning a bid for a new low power AM station license. They didn't win, and I got the rig for $200 and a lot of lifting and swearing.
It's a very rare (I think it's the only one left) 500/250W AM broadcast transmitter made by Collins. I recognize it as mine by the replacement Peter Dahl (RIP) plate trans that is seen in one of the shots.
I ended up coming to my senses and got a much (!?) more portable Globe King 500C to fill my QRO AM Jones, but I hated to see this go. It's now in the hands of Dennis (w6dq) and I just had some email exchanges with him to fill in some of the rigs history for him. You can see it on his QRZ page.
This thing weighed 800 lbs or so. I'm glad it got restored and back into service. It was a surprise to run across it on the web!
