I remember one story from a deputy that had a gun go off in the office and swore the gun was just sitting on his desk and it "just went off". I'm sure he wasn't goofing with it or anything. It was a Glock.

Sorry for the family and the singer too. I'm not implying he was goofing with the gun, but suspect it was an unholstered gun in the pocket and some sort of accidental trigger contact.
