Clocked a puff of dust under the edge of one of our buildings while I was sharpening a chain in the saw. Saw what I thought might be a moccasin, grabbed the 22 and put one on it. 18 month old little girl running around, I can’t chance it. Drug it out with a garden rake and this is what I got. Turned out to be a water snake. He was already a goner before I got to him.
Quickly thereafter,dinner ensued.
Then into the shade to finish things off.
