Thank you very much. Still lots of fitting to accomplish before it’s done. To easy to screw something up at this stage with fitting the guard, spacers and stag. That's a beautiful blade.
Thank you sir. Had to sort through a lot of antler to find this piece. That is going to be a damn fine looking knife.....
That's where I was this past weekend with that sword. I was torn on combining wood and leather or just stacking leather. I went with the easy button . Looking forward to seeing this bowie when finished!Thank you very much. Still lots of fitting to accomplish before it’s done. You did a really nice job on that short sword. I really like staked leather handles. And it’s more difficult than people realize. That's where I was this past weekend with that sword. Me too.Looking forward to seeing this bowie when finished!
Gorgeous!I decided the micarta spacers didn’t compliment the Bowie and it made the handle to long proportionally. And it is a beautiful piece of stag so I’m ready to epoxy this bad boy up as pictured. View attachment 289228
I personally like it better with just the stag handle, old school like the originals were.I decided the micarta spacers didn’t compliment the Bowie and it made the handle to long proportionally. And it is a beautiful piece of stag so I’m ready to epoxy this bad boy up as pictured.
I have to agree on this one and the stag with the texture and patina needed to speak for itself, so to speak.I personally like it better with just the stag handle, old school like the originals were.
As of present it's looking for a new owner. I will need to make a leather sheath. My prediction exceeded........lemme know what you decide to do with it please.
Thank you very much. I love Bowie's, I just don't love to make them often. Lot's of real estate in a blade like that.No kidding - Beautiful work! If you enjoyed that project and want to make more I'll bet you can fill a waiting list pretty quickly. Put me on it!
Tailhunter has spoken for this one, so it's SPF.What kind of price range you get on that knife?
