I promised my wife ( and my cardiologist) that I wouldn't attempt to drag a deer by myself ; and my recent out of State trip provided some great memories as well as zero venison in the freezer. Right now, my only options for this season ( since I own neither land nor an atv) would be a semi guided hunt for late season gun or Xbow. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good outfitter/ guide service that offers these at a fairly reasonable price within 200 miles or so of Charlotte, and may have a slot for a late season hunt? I'm not interested in a $2500.00 160 class "high fence" buck ( more power to ya' if that's your thing) - just a decent shot at a 6pt or better or a mature doe or two, and some paid help recovering the deer assuming that I do my part.
