Took out my new LCP rimfire; had 3 NIB mags and tried 4 different ammo.

CCI minimag 40 gr solid, Aguila HV 40 gr solid, Bulk Federal 36 gr, and CCI SV 40 gr.

Gun shot quite well at 15 ft with careful sight alignment; didn't bother going further this time. Even the cheap Federal ammo shot and cycled quite well.

Shot 30 rds each of the HV stuff, CCI SV stovepiped on first shot / wouldn't lock back [no surprise, just wanted to see.]

Had a few light hits, couldn't make them all pop even with multiple re-strikes. Don't normally see this with ultra reliable minimags or the Aguilas; going to strip the firing pin and check for burrs / gunk etc. Sometimes if the bullet isn't 100.0% seated even with the gun in battery enough to fire the pin just pushes the case forward a hair and robs it if energy to strike hard enough. This 'easy rack' model has a light spring, wondering if a stiffer recoil spring would help with fully going forward the last few .001"s.

Also had a few jams / failure to feed; didn't seem too get far out of the magazine. Also thinking a stronger recoil spring might help this.

Overall a neat package and still happy with it - going to tweak a couple things and see if it helps, may need a couple hundred rounds to smooth things up and improve cycling.
Off to Wolff to look for extra power recoil spring now . . . links invited if anyone has done this already.

I get light strikes on Winchester 555 bulk ammo. No issue with others. I do have the Galloway precision upgraded parts, just haven’t installed them. I love the pistol.

I just went to Galloway and got the rimfire spring kit - heavier hammer strike without heavier trigger is a great option.
Also lighter firing pin spring saves me from chopping coils on the OEM . . . will get these parts and then strip / TLC the firing pin before reinstall.
Picked up the short stroke trigger as well . . . I hate long takeup.

They don't have the XP rimfire recoil spring tho . . .

Ill get this tuned up and running 100% - a great sidekick to the .380 !!

Just finished the parts install, that itty bitty pistol is a bugger to work on.

Put in the spring upgrades and the short reset trigger. Just fired 2 in the woods to verify function, need to get back to the range for a full reliability session.

Neon orange nail polish on the front sight while I had it stripped.

Nice! Keep us posted. I’ve had the parts sitting for about 10 months now lol. One of these days I’ll put them in.

Added bonus of the Galloway trigger install is you remove the mag safety.
That is required for that trigger geometry so don't order if you love mag safeties.

UPDATE:

Range today and ran 30 rds straight with 100% performance, Aguila HV and CCI MiniMags.
Heavier hammer and recoil spring, lighter firing pin spring.

Also like the Galloway trigger a lot. Neon orange nail polish on front sight helps big time.

Great little brother to the 380 LCP.
@Jmoser Any further updates?
I'm considering buying one. I'd like to be able to use it for a backup, but if it's not reliable I'll have to go for the .380

Just tested ammo on other guns - LCP all dialed in now. Stick with Minimags and get the Galloway kit if you have any issues.
Summer heat and LCP are made for each other.

I had one here and everybody loved it.....I shot about 3,000 rounds through it, All CCI Mini Mags, with Zero failures. I did end up super gluing the safety in the Fire position as everybody that shot it ended up pushing it On in a string of fire. I ended up with 2 of these and Both are gone.?.?.?

Thanks. This response plus an endorsement from @BatteryOaksBilly seals it. I'm buying one first time I see one available.

I have one and like every 22 semi auto , rifle or pistol , i have had failure to fire , failure to feed and failure to eject at some time with every one of them. I regulate them to hunting and practice only. That they are the best option in place of a center fire.
