I feel for you people, I took the 12 step brass addiction class about 2 years ago. Since graduating I no longer pick up brass for which I have no gun in that caliber. It was hard at first and I needed some help from my friends but I can finally say that I'm FREE, I'm FREE.....

Speaking of which, what to do with all the brass in calibers I don't shoot? Should we start a brass exchange?

I throw it in a 5 gallon bucket and when it's full make a trip to the recycle center for some easy $$. If someone wanted to dig through it for certain brass I'd let them but I don't feel the need to.

Is the old guy still hakin the range down south of Chester? Used to irritate the sht out of me. I would get down there to the Leeds range just as the sun was beginning to come up, on a SUNDAY, just so I could be alone for a few minutes. After a few shots, this old guy would show up everytime, start mill'n around pickin up brass. Never spoke to me, just milled around. Milled around. If I wasn't armed it might have been uncomfortable, this old guy mill'n around.

I'm gettin old so I can call out old dudes

Had the same thing happen Saurday. Aside from pistol brass. Just sorted out the .223/5.56. Not counting a couple hundred of my once reloaded. Someone saw fit to leave me a couple hundred PMC and a couple hundred FC 15/16 in .223 with the blue sealant on the primer, not sure what's it's loaded at the factory with put I presumed it was nicer than plinking ammo?

It was a good day:cool:

How much $$ does a 5 Gal bucket bring you?

I go to the range to exercise. By bending over to pick up brass.
and that, kids, is how I ended up straining my old soccer injury and requiring arthroscopy. (Not kidding). I still pick it up, but am more careful now- and I'm really considering buying some monmouth brass for $135/6000 rounds for 9.

Was at the range this past weekend and looked behind me in the brass trash can. This was the rifle range and for the picking was 1000s rounds of brass. Most were 223 and 308 cases. I grabbed a few 100 cases. There were also a good amount of 303 British cases. Next time I go back to the range I am going to bring some latex gloves. Those rounds were very dirty. By no means do I need any more 223 or 308 brass but it was next to impossible not to grab a few hand fulls.

That's why I bring the wife and daughter with me. Brass detail. Just toss it in my bag, I'll sort it later. I accumulated quite a few 9mm pieces so, I bought a 9mm naturally. I have brass for several calibers I don't have....yet.

I've got two wooden crates full of brass for guns I don't have. One of the reasons I want a .327 Federal as I have boxes of .32 S&W Long. Dang, just released I've been carrying that brass around for 30 years! Just got a G23 in 40 S&W. Now I can use all that brass after I get a set of dies and molds.

When I golf and hit one into the woods, I look for it. Hey, you do have five full minutes.

For every ball of my own that I find, I pick up 5 or 8 more that I didn't hit.

At one point I had seventeen dozen ProV1s and ProV1x balls. Those sell for$48/dozen at Wally world and over $50 at any pro shop, but the pro shops do push them by the bucketload to high handicappers anyway. It's like loaning a Lamborghini to a 16 year old and telling him not to touch the bottle of scotch in the glovebox.

My name is zuerjoha and I'm a brasshole.

I typically leave the range with a grocery bag full of brass. People in south Wake county just don't like picking up their brass (not that I'm complaining!)

Also, regarding a 12 step program, my wife recently told me to stop bringing brass home until I start reloading more.
