If you misplace the actual copy of the tax stamp - what can or should be done ?
Have bill of sale for the item , and copy of the $200 to the ATF , but for some reason cannot seem to locate the actual stamp & paper from the ATF

did you ever get an actual paper stamp? Mine came electronic only.

Simple. Request a certified copy. Send them enough info to identify yourself and the item (mainly registered name and serial number).

They’ll send you another copy of the Form 1/4. Instead of a tax stamp, it’ll have a Certified Copy stamp on it similar to a notary stamp.

so say a person moved from the original address (still in same state and county) than what the trust and original form 4 says.

WORD TO TJE WISE!
When you get your tax stamp, take a picture of it on your phone (that way you most likely will always have a copy of it in a secure folder) and then up load it to your cloud.

You provide a mailing address in the request for a certified copy.

I made copies of mine and put them in a notebook, and put the original in the gun safe. So when I travel to the range all I have to do is grab my notebook.

My stamps were just for a suppressor and a sbr. If I remember correctly, I could go to the website where I submitted my sbr application, and retrieve my stamps and approval letters from the site. I’ll have to try it again, it’s been over a year.
I did the phone and cloud thing too. Printed a few copies of each, keep them in my buttstock for the sbr, and in my wallet for the suppressor. Also, don’t forget to make up a file for your partner, in case you die and they have no idea about title II stuff.

If it’s filed in eForms, you can get it from the site. If you mailed it in, you have to request a certified copy.

Which doesn’t answer his question in any way. 🤓
