That was straight from the RMA site. So something smells off. I wonder if the NIJ just revoked certification for a certain LOT#. Not sure if they would do that but i got 10x12s new for under 100$ a piece.1) the NIJ has actually revoked the certification for the 1155 line, so that vendor is kind of lying to you
2) the revocation appears to be political and bogus. I'm seriously considering getting multicurve 1155 plates
I was told the NIJ bit was mostly relating to to the outer plate "bag" coming apart when exposed to heavy friction while wet, and it was limited to certain models. The plates themselves were still officially approved for LE use despite the recall. I'm opersting on hearsay so I could be totally wrong about the "why" but they should still be completely fine for use. Just don't swim with em.That was straight from the RMA site. No. I just had a contact that got them for under 100 ea. They just arrived today DOM is prior to 1 sep so the NIJ rating is valid. I have them in the crye 2.0 as well and they are not as tight as i would like.I have these and I like them and mine are in the crye 2.0. I don't care about NIJ rating the more I read about them. All of these plates are now overpriced imho. Is someone here saying they are 100 bucks? Ill do some looking.
T Rex Arms sells some inserts to make single curve plates more comfortable, would probably also make them fit tighter and not wiggle around in the JPC.No. I just had a contact that got them for under 100 ea. Because some are heavy AF (which you have to expect at the price. Lighter = Way more costly). And because of the recent NIJ thing people just turd on them instead of doing research. Those plates are good, I've run them for awhile and while they ain't the best. It's always better to have something that CAN protect you! I don't really know why people don't like RMA
