They have built a new one near us and I went to visit today. Pretty nice facility. They have a child care area along with a decent diner/cafe, among other amenities.

Down side is it is expensive and I don't necessarily think I would trust them to do a good job watching my kids.

Anyone members or former members?

Oh and I don't care for the language on their front doors. ;)

Planet fitness has small gun buster signs. They’re so small I’ve never actually seen them. Some one told me they saw them.
I've never seen them at my club. Now I'm going to have to look.

If you can afford it, Life Time is hard to beat. Kids area can be trusted because as you can imagine, it’s a huge risk area for them and they take it seriously.

Ahhh....you keep working out at the club and don't take any time away to look. Next time I'm in the Mooresville area I'll try to remember to have a look and let you know. :D

My neighbor worked in the child care area before she and her family relocated to Wilmington.
Nice facility, open 24-7, the one here in Raleigh is always packed.

No fitness center that doesn't have at least a 6 lane x 25yrd/meter roped lanes pool with life guards it is not a valid fitness center.
2 separate pools for aqua fitness and laps is even better.
My Y has 2 pools. Lap pool is kept at 80°, the program pool is kept at 86°.

Most Life Time have exactly what you describe as well as dedicated outdoor lap lanes.

Nice. I'd stick to indoor. Outdoor pools get too hot. Plus I hate having to put on sunscreen to swim. [emoji6][emoji6]

Being open 24 hours would mean I could swim at 4am instead waiting until 5am. Ha!
Alas, there are none near me.

They are expanding rapidly but generally stick to affluent larger metro areas. Places I like to stay away from... [emoji12]

On one hand, whatever it takes to get people to exercise.

On the other, I run away from places to have to advertise so much. Too...cultish.

My wife and daughter joined Lifetime on Falls of Neuse Rd here in Raleigh a couple yrs ago as it was still being built. They were given great sign-up rates that will never increase and are far cheaper than if you were to join today. I have been only a couple of times to sit out by the pool outdoor pool, but from what I saw of the other workout areas/sections, it is a great place! One benefit if you join is that you have access to nearly all Lifetime locations across the country depending on the membership level you join at. I did not join for I get my exercise by lugging my range bag around and doing bourbon curls with a full heavy bottomed doubles glass :p

That place is huge!

Yep!!! The property used to be a full golf driving range with a side putt-putt course. I thought it should have been turned in an indoor shooting facility much like Triangle Shooting Academy since near by zip code 27614 has the highest concentration of CCP holders in all of Raleigh and Wake Co.
