Lionfish for supper

We spent a week diving and spear fishing Curasao. Kept all of the Lionfish and made fish tacos last night. Damned good eating fish!

I’ve seen some videos if guys spear fishing lion fish and they’re seemingly like rabbits of the ocean, only slow. It’s funny reading the comments of people not understanding that they’re an invasive species.

Same. I've heard good things. If we really wanted to control the population we just need to start telling the Chinese that they'll make your junk bigger.

Had some about 10 years ago when me and my wife went to Jamaica for her graduation trip. It was really good

I'm currently in Charleston, SC for work and according to my searching, Fleet Landing Restaurant in downtown Charleston often serves lionfish. However, their online menu doesn't list it. (They do have triggerfish, which I also have been wanting to try.)

I'll call them when they open up today and see if lionfish is currently available on their menu.

They are definitely not slow! They hang around but if you miss or have a bad hit, they’re outta there!
