Little blade

Billy’s first choice for handle material was stag. I just happen to have a piece that fits the scale of the knife. The cap between the guard and stag will be red white and blue micarta. The end will be metal capped. That’s all for today!

I've got several pics of Cocobolo left over from a deck project I helped a brother with several years ago. One is a nice piece with burled grain I'm saving due a pair of pistol grips.

Of you'd like some, let me know and I'd be happy to dig some out and either ship them to you or swing by some time on a trip between VA and SC.

They'd make nice scales, very durable, too.

Absolutely. It’s all just dry fitted now. I’ll post it up in a bit. The threaded tang will go through the pommel and the I’ll cut it flush in the final fit up.

My Mini Randall will now get a much deserved holiday...I asked @opaul about the possibility of this in 2021. I now own 3 of his knives and whoever is getting the Randall Fighter will not be disappointed....This man is an Artist....but the finished product is much grander than a painting.

I mis-posted in another thread, so I'm reposting here.

I didn't expect this.

I just met up with opaul earlier to give him a small stack of Cocobolo I thought would make some nice scales for his works of art. I wasn't asking for anything, as these were scraps I had and he's pretty much just off my usual route between VA and SC.

I've had in mind a knife or two to commission sometime in the future, but he surprised me with a real beauty in return for the wood! This is going to make commissioning a couple as gifts later real easy!

Guys, this feels every bit the work of art in my hand as it does to see.

Imma have to keep this away from my boy or he'll nab it for sure!

(A future knife will be for him. THIS one is MINE!)
