looking at buying a used trailer a couple ours away. School me on title and tags

What’s the trailer itself weigh?

Wonder if the inspection is only if the trailer and/or cargo weigh over 4k. If yours is under 4k empty your probably “legal” 🤷🏼‍♂️

I just learned about this trailer inspection stuff this year. I’ll be sticking it in the cabinet next to my “make sure you pay the state for the proper amount of weight you MIGHT haul on your weighted tags” file.
Well the mfg tag says max payload is 11k. So apparently close to 5k I'd assume

I thought the inspection had to do with brakes IE if the trailer has brakes it requires a inspection

I’ve reached out to two guys with Kendon trailers, either of which I would buy based on the pics, but best I can tell, neither are tagged which suggests neither are titled.

And off topic, I’ve reached out to five people on marketplace about three bikes and two trailers over the past 5-6 days, and I never mentioned price the first time, and I still have only gotten one reply.

...they wonder why their stuff is still for sale.

Friday I was so pissed that a guy didn’t respond, I kept hitting the message again button a couple hundred times. They all pop up on his phone. Finally he messaged “when you want to meet?” So 7 days later I tell him to send an address. He does and later says he stayed home all day to meet. Haha too bad. Answer you freaking ads jerk.
