I have watched very, very little TV for the past several years. Lately, the wife has come across some shows that we both enjoy watching together. The first was Justified. It caught my attention because of the location. Hell, I knew every character on the show. Or, I knew someone just like them. We really liked Justified.

Later, we found out about Longmire. While it seemed to drag on towards the end, we found it enjoyable, too.

Then, she found Bosch. I liked that series a lot. There were several characters on the show that I liked. We ended up the final episode Thursday night and we both said that we wished it would go for another season or two.

Using those three examples, what do you reccomend for us to watch? We would prefer a series rather than a movie but, movies will be OK. We like watching an episode or two when we have time.We don't care for sci-fi or anything too far from reality. I tried to watch John Wick but it was just too unrealistic for me.

We have Amazon, Roku, Netflix, most every thing available. I know you guys and gals won't let us down. Thanks.

I enjoyed the heck out of Kingdom. Are you open to Zombie flicks?

Did y’all ever watch Castle? I liked that one. But I’m a big Nathan Fillion fan.

I’m just starting Season 3 of Longmire. Buddy recommended Bosch next, so I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Definitely Yellowstone. The next season is about to start. Plus, they have a prequel show (called 1883) in the works…and will star Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill.

Check out Discovery +, we have it w/o the commercials, saves 15-20min to watch more programs without commercials.

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming.

Let me know what you think of Bosch. I hated when it ended.

We loved both Bosch and longmire.

Listing the ones that we both liked.

Ozark for sure.

Justified for damn sure.

The Santa Clarita Diet

You.

The Sinner

Lucifer

Deadwood

The Witcher

Sons of Anarchy

I’ll try to come up with some more but that’s a good start.

How did I forget.

The Boys.

The Liberator

Invincible.

The punisher series on Netflix.

This is an old series but I really love “Monk.” One of my favorites.

I was a fan of Wings. The Hackett brothers! Early Tony Shalhoub.

Dharma and Greg was also pretty cute (starred Thomas Gibson also from Wings and, of course, later Criminal Minds).

Newhart.

"Get Used to Different"
Go to your App Store and download "The Chosen". It's free.
Then you can use whatever source you have - Roku, etc - to throw it to your tv.
You can watch Season One, episodes 1-8 and Season Two, Episodes 1-8 at your leisure.
Season Three hasn't started filming in Texas yet.
If you don't like it, just delete the app and forget about it.

Season One is also on YouTube.

Cardinal (Hulu)
Narcos Mexico (Netflix)
Mare of Easttown (HBO Max)
Hinterland (Netflix)
Mr Inbetween (Hulu/FX)
Barry (HBO Max)
Jack Taylor (Amazon)
London Kills (Amazon)
City on A Hill (Showtime)
Jack Ryan (Amazon)
Hidden (Acorn)

Some of these may be older, I found all interesting enough to keep me watching. We have BritBox and Acorn, lots of good shows on both those services that you likely haven’t seen.

Amazon:
Counterpart
Goliath

Netflix:
Dark
Mindhunter
Derry Girls

Yellowstone... season 4 starts in Nov. They should do a marathon on Paramount before they start.

For comedy: Rick and Morty. Start with the Pilot (S1, E1) and go through (S5, E10). The humor is a biting make you think type of humor.

Peaky Blinders is great, amazing actors. If you like Justified you’ll like Deadwood more language and boobs since it’s HBO. I haven’t done Yellowstone because I’ve heard how great it is and I don’t know want to pay for another service. True Detective season 1 is awesome, season 2 is blah, season 3 is good but a lot of flash backs. If you can handle a little horror suspense sci-fi then Stranger Things is a must watch.

BBC's Sherlock

Other than ABC's "Life on Mars" in '08, that's the only how we've watched together since "Greg the Bunny" 20 years ago!

For comedy, I'd be hard pressed to find something recent that I've laughed at harder than Space Force on Netflix.

Season 2 comes out later this year. So by the time you get through the 10 episodes of season 1, you'll be ready to roll on season 2.

I'm sure there will be actors and actresses you'll both recognize.

It covers the establishment of the Space Force as part of the Armed Services with a mandate of "Boots on the Moon by 2024". Good parodies of characters like AOD, Chuck Schumer, President Trump (never seen, but implied through the narrative), and I'm dying to see how they do with the current political lineup.

Here's the Wikipedia page on it, but it's somewhat lacking in the storyline. Great lineup of the actors and actresses, though:
