Looks like Swampfox got PA's Chinese factory to make them a micro prism.

And my quest to find a micro prism with a decent reticle continues.

I really like the PA 3x I’ve got. My son loves the SBR AK with it and has zero issues making hits at 100-400. There are things to change, but with nothing else comparable it kicks butt.

Gotta have the arrows and donuts in the reticle. Meh.
Never a fan of PA reticles.

I like that you can add a taller mount though.

I'd settle for donut/dot, even with the hash marks like the Vortex reticle. The chevron is just too thick and obscures too much unless you're aiming for minute-of-torso.

Most people hate the chevron. The only thing worse is the chevron surrounded by a plethora of lines and devices the average shooter doesn't need, doesn't understand, and will never use.

The more I use my pa 3x the less I like it. The drop doesn't quite work for my 13.7 so it is just a busy mess when I am guessing my hold overs. At this point a Christmas tree would be more effective than just guessing between two lines of where I should be holding at 300 to 500 yards.

Totally agree, that's a lot of visual noise.

I don't own one of these but I have shot with them on several occasions. I don't remember it looking like this....the ones I shot with were very user friendly. Was there an earlier version without all of this "stuff"?
Um idk, I have gen 2 (left). There's a gen 3 out now also that is 1/3 the size of mine.

The SLX prims and microprisms have reticles like what Squanchy posted, but the traditional scopes have all the extra stuff. They have some scopes without ACSS reticles, but they have no SLX prims without ACSS as far as I know.

The main thing I like about this Swampfox model is the T2 mount. The mount on my PA 2x is very Chinesium.

As to reticle on the PA 2x it's still got a chevron, but it's not so busy. I think it's fine for 50-200...pretty much the effective range for 5.56 to frag. After that it's .308 time with a proper scope anyway.

Reticles like that just piss me off.
