Magazines

I must have 25 - 30 round 556 or 300 BO magazines and a few 10 and 20 rounds magazine. I read somewhere that some magazines work better with 300 BO than others. Not sure where.
Now that I have the 300 Pistol, I would like to get about 5-8 more 30 round magazines and figured that I would ask about which one works better with the 300.

Just today I ordered 4 Magpul .300 mags from Outdoor limited. Right around 15 each.

I’ve never used anything but FDE 5.56 PMags in either of mine. Never had an issue.

(I tend to color-code calibers...300BLK ARs and mags are FDE, 5.56 are black)

Big Waylon, I use red electrical tape around the bottom of my 300 magazines. Can not miss it.

Besides Magpul both D&H and Lancer offer 300 BO specific mags. I can't recall a mag related problem no matter what I've used in my gun thus far.

Unless you are shooting a lot of the heavy subs or just want to buy some that say “300BO” on it I wouldn’t even worry about it.

What I personally do is use a different brand for different calibers. Lancers for 300 and Magpul for 5.56.
