These spring kits are great and have functioned well for me so far over 1000’s of rounds.

Disappointed to learn that they don’t make a kit for the Shield 45 …

Anyone using mag extensions/spring kits in their .45 carry pistols?

Have you ever dropped a loaded mag? I lost all confidence in mine when I dropped a loaded shield 9 mag, the baseplate popped off and rounds went flying everywhere like skittles. I did it again as a test, from below waist height (~30”) and an angled drop on the baseplate had the same result.

I’ve used ETS 12rd mags as my spares ever since. It was certainly nice being able to carry 10rd in the gun but this was a while ago and I recently picked up a Shield Plus so I have 13rd in an OEM mag now.
