..................the kid made some kind of gun related threat in school that required investigation they determined everything was OK. What's the problem?

Do you actually read facts and articles before posting replies? Can you provide any information or link where the kid made an actual threat......

So you don't know what the comment was, as it was purposely left out (hint) , but you are confident it didn't constitute a threat from your chair.

If you would read, the kids comment was about lax school security, but I guess you're confident that amounts to a threat? SMH

Warrant to talk?

Nope, all mom/dad had to do was say "GET OFF MY LAWN".

You're missing that they didn't confiscate jack. Do you really think that if that had been their intent they wouldn't have taken them? What scared them off?

They didn't confiscate jack because they had no business being there in the first place because the "complaint" was unfounded from the start.

No, the kid talked about security at the school.

No threats were made.

Just hoplophobic administrators and guys intent on "just doing their jobs."

A child in school who is aware of and discusses gaps in school security is obviously up to something and should be investigated,..... I mean after all, if he truly has nothing to hide.....

The thing about security theater (think airports, schools, most court houses) is that once you recognize it for what it is, it becomes an affront. A second thing is that those who typically rely on security theater, get really upset when they realize someone sees through the charade.

Rambo still wound up in prison busting rocks for a living.

Actually, he's not still busting rocks for a living. He only served 3 years of his sentence and then got out.

After his 3 year stint of hard labor he went on to rack up a considerable body count in First Blood II, First Blood III, and Rambo. And he must still be out of confinement because he's on track for Rambo V due out in fall 2019. So, things seemed to work out for him in the long run.

Just saying.

Rambo V is coming?

Rambo V is coming?

Wikipedia says so.......

Upcoming
Rambo V (2019)
After previously stating that he had retired the character,[2] Rambo V was announced in March of 2018, with Stallone signed on to write the script as well as to star as the titular hero. The film is scheduled to be released in fall 2019. The plot is said to include Rambo taking on a Mexican Cartel in order to save a friend's daughter who is being held hostage by them.[3] On May 7, 2018 Stallone posted an image on Instagram announcing the film, and confirming the intended release date for Fall 2019.[4] Rambo V shooting is set to begin in September in London, Bulgaria, and the Canary Islands.[5]

I wanna see Rambo go to DC and bust some heads, making Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell keep their promises to repeal Obamacare and cut the size and scope of the federal government. He can go after cartels later.

I can read, and I knew that’s EXACTLY what you’d say.

It’s called DUE PROCESS. You don’t seem to have a problem w it being violated.

For goodness sakes man,.... did you not hear what @J R Green said?! There had been a COMPLAINT filed! Everybody knows that a complaint nullifies due process and Amendment IV..... sheesh

You are being obtuse. It was a fishing expedition to even ask and see if she would comply. She didn't. And they should not have. But the fact that LE played that card is BS. How else would the homeowners know, or why would the Sgt mention it, if the officers that went to the home did not bring it up? What scared them off is that they were not authorized to confiscate them. So why did they bring it up? Because the only way the homeowners would have known about it is for the responding officers to bring it up. And the only reason to bring it up when you don't have a warrant specifically for it is hoping the homeowner complies and allows you to take them. Again, they were fishing.

So the police didn't confiscate any weapons and even though the kid made some kind of gun related threat in school that required investigation they determined everything was OK.

What's the problem?
The fact that either you don't, or worse that you won't, see "the problem" well that's one.

CFF is much nicer if you block JR Green. The first step was to learn not to argue with him. You know what they say about mud wrestling with a pig. I got tired of the BS long ago and blocked him and now I mostly don’t see it.

Except threads like this. Anyone tempted to argue with him PLEASE block him so that you don’t subject others to his trolling extra times.

Thank you

Can't see the forest for the trees....
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed into law in March. The law allows police to seize guns from law abiding citizens who the state determines pose a threat to themselves or others — even without due process.

Kind of hard to claim legitimacy and right to rule when you make toilet paper of what is supposed to be the document stipulating what is supposed to be your highest doctrines.

I was born in that cesspool of a state. I ran out of the state as soon as I was old enough to leave. That place sucks on so many levels. Every single one of my immediate family members ran too. Most went to the open, free states of the mid West. I ran South!

However, I will say that I am a freedom loving, god fearing, family man that works hard for what we've saved. While 90% may be horrible people, I like to think that I'm part of the 10%.

Just something to consider as you make your generalizations.

Have a great day!

I was not judging.
I myself hail from
The Glorious Socialist People’s Republic Of
Marylandistan.
An equally oppressive, libarted cesspool.

I too ran for the hills once I reached the age of reason.

But, they didn’t do a SouthPark episode on how bad Marylandistan sucks, and how douchey it’s denizens are....

I'm not familiar with the law and if I never see jersey again it will be too soon. Did/does the law specifically relate to firearms only?

Nicer? Yes.

As entertaining? Hell no!

I have certainly had my fair share of disagreements with people, sometimes the same people, over and over again.

That said, I have never blocked anyone.

If I ever get the need to block people around here....I'mma just going to take a break instead.

F new jersey
I have never met anyone from that state that wasn’t a horrible person.
There was even a Southpark episode about the douchiness of that terrible, terrible state.

Yeah, Eff Effin Jersey!

Now, I will say I’ve known a ton of good people from Jersey. The better ones assimilated quite nicely once they left that “god-forsaken” place.

Ya know their motto is “the Garden State”. That’s cause ya guarding your house, your car, your wife and kids, l [emoji23]

The only problem with the "even without due process" claim is that the two laws in question (A1217 and A1181) do require due process.

My home is no freaking lake or ocean, or by the EPA terms a "navigable water way". No fishing here. You guys wonder why folks are getting completely fed up with this kind of intrusion. If you want support from the community at large, then tell your superiors that you are not going on calls that you know damn good and well are unconstitutional.

Of course you won't do that as it may affect your retirement. Heaven forbid your retirement gets affected by your constitutional violating assignments and actions.

When I first came on the Carolina Shooting BBS three or four versions back any criticisms of law enforcement were carefully couched with a preface of something like " I don't mean to offend any of our brothers in law enforcement, but damn." Then the true colors shone through with the story of some fellow and a rear bumper of a patrol car.

Mr. Green I hope you are up for retirement soon. Then you won't need to worry about such things. If not, then it looks to be a long set of years, or maybe short with your attitude.

Still not a cop dude.

Which part of investigating a citizen complaint was unconstitutional?

Fishing when you know you are fishing. Pricks at the door with a badge.

So when the call involves enticing or overbearing officers trying to gain entry then yes.

So just because there was paper work it allows the officers to entice the homeowner to allowing entry under the guise of "we have a report from the school."?

Of course you will say if she had said no then they would have gone away.

This is a crying freaking shame. This type of attitude is what will be used to collect our firearms when the guys at the station tell to officers to come for our guns. " I'm just doing what I'm told, nothing against you" is what we will be told.

The next step is all of the blue helmet guys following all of the blue road name markers in the boonies marking the gun owners. Good thing is blue helmets make for easy targets.

My wife has passed. My daughter dosen't seem to like me. So I am beyond caring what you think. The rules are rules. Come over here violate the constitution on my doorstep and beware.

Of course you say that when you can not inform the person who answers the door of their rights. You feel that if you can ask an uninformed citizen of their rights then you can roll right in.

All under the guise of "protecting the public".

Maybe when you are the instrument of the devil, you become the devil.

JR and the old Daisy whatever are the only ones I have ever blocked. I can't stop myself from replying to the idiocy, so I blocked him to save myself the time and blood pressure elevation. Because no amount of arguing with him does a bit of good. He's not here to learn, just to troll.

I don't know what you're trying to say. They were investigating a complaint They violated no ones rights. They cleared the call as unfounded. They didn't force their way in. They didn't seize anything. Just like it's supposed to work but since someone put in the title you should be offended you have to run with it no matter what the facts are.

Someone posted a story here a couple of weeks ago where someones rights were violated but since he didn't explain that to you ya'll thought it was great.

Don't be a sheep.

Far from being a sheep here.
They gained entry to the home without a warrant. How they did that may be in question, but I dare say that they did not tell her that she could refuse. You guys have free rein to say anything or lie to gain access. If she had said "pound sand" then no entry would have been made.

Our homes are sacrosanct.
You guys are not.

When you pursue these type of actions you putting yourselves at risk for what? Sorry you chose a profession that involves skirting the limits of freedom as long as nobody calls you on it.
