Mil surp picture thread

Here's one of my prized pieces. We'll it's actually my aunts. I was finally able to convince her to let me lock it up in the safe instead of being her edc and laying on her night stand. Of course I had to buy her a taurus 85 ul 38 special to replace it so she would have something to carry or keep close by. This Walther PP is a late war time production and a bring back not an import. My aunt carried it for last 45 50 years. From my research it was made before American troops took over the factory and they was making them as quick as they could and thus leaving off alot of the common makers marks. Hardly any of the Walther markings are on the slide but does have ac code and other german/nazi markings. It doesn't get shot alot but I still run a few rounds through the old girl from time to time. It has aged to have nice brown patina. And has factory magazine.20211103_190652.jpg20211103_190715.jpg

New to me 1944 Inland Div. M1 carbine. I can only assume that it was re-arsenal’d for Korea. No import marks what so ever. I added a pouch and sling from worldwarsupply. I’ve never owned a carbine and could instantly see why these guns were loved by the joes that carried them. Such a light and handy little rifle.

Nice carbine!

My father told me everyone wanted to acquire a carbine and a Jeep once they got out of the service at the end of the war, him included. My mother had other ideas and he had to wait for me to get both in the family!

Beautiful carbine

One of the most fun guns i've ever owned. I wish I still had one, and ammo for it.

It’s a video and not a picture, but I thought y’all might like to see the Cabin Fever Challenge run I put up with my M96 Swedish Mauser.

That looks like a good investment. That 7.5 is a bit of a thumper. I only put about 20 rounds through mine, and still felt it a little the next day.
Tightened the groups up a bit too. Pierre St. Marie makes good K31 stuff. Mine also has his clamp on mount and left hand bolt adapter.
