I just got my first polymer 80% lower and am seeking some advice. I don’t have a drill press or a router. Which would be better to buy? If I go the drill press route I will have to get an xy vise and this route costs twice as much as a router but I have the sticker that you get for the EP Armory lower that you use as a template with the drill press. If I go with the router then I have to buy the jig and then that puts it about even price wise with a drill press and xy vise. For those that have milled a poly lower before, which way is the best/easiest for milling, drill press or router? I have everything needed to put it together, just need to mill out the lower. 4EC2F05C-53CE-4B98-80F1-D280F584D998.jpeg

I just received my order from EP Armory also. I’ve only used a router on 7075 aluminum lowers. I bought a Polymer 80 lower that comes with the jig and hope to use it on the other poly lowers. Haven’t decided if I’m going drill press or router yet as I used a friends set up. But I imagine it will be a lot easier to mill out the poly lowers. Not really an answer for you but please post your progress and I’ll keep you informed on how mine go. Good luck.
My wife asked me “Who wants a green gun?”
I said “I do!” and I will build one soon too.

I ran a couple mags through it with my other lower and it shoots very well. It’s chambered in 223 Wylde. It definitely has a bark to it. Maybe even a little more than the 10.5 barrel. I think this is going to be a fun build.
i just got my first BCA side charger in 6.5G, i'm eyeballing a M4 contour 10.5 barrel in 223 wylde from them to replace the crappy PSA barrel in my SBR because it's too thin to run with the binary trigger
