Minneapolis To Disband Police Department

I'm fine with defunding them as long as we repeal the NFA and still have someone to drive bodies down to the morgue.

ha I was thinking the same thing out loud with wife earlier...I’m like well with no one to enforce law I’ll be taking no chances. The bodies may pile up rather quickly and I was wondering if one of these new “services” might be like an “Uber-morgue” type thing to keep my yard sanitary.

MS13, Bloods, Crips, Outlaws, Hells Angels and a whole bunch of other gangs are licking their chops.
And with the legal system out if the way, the people will be able to take them out finally instead of playing court and jail. You know damned well the only way to stop them is to kill them, something outside of the system.

Problem is they aren't all pushovers. Just because someone may have taken a 3 day FoF training class once doesn't mean that they will prevail when they come face to face with evil. You make it sound like it will be easy to take them out.

Too much money in crime this present day and time. Courts and their revolving door policies fattening the wallets of a vast number of attorneys, social agents, private prisons, etc. With the media's ever expanding glorification of racist thugs and the constant barrage of excuses for their errant behaviour our country will continue the downward digression of civil responsibility to one another.

Tells a lot about where Mitt comes from.

Mitt is part of the big uni-party that we aren’t ever going to be members of. He’s just doing his part to ensure that Bad Orange Man is not re-elected and cannot unearth the State’s crimes and criminals.

What makes you think the new Feelings Police will be carrying firearms?!?
Because if the police department is disbanded they will give the police weapons to the religious police, BLM enforcers and brown shirt safety patrols they try to replace real live cops with. Which, of course, are already infiltrated by the Antifa crowd. Imagine that bunch with access to automatic weapons, MRAPS and the other heavy military equipment the .gov has been pushing on local police forces for the last 10 years. This has the potential to turn real ugly real fast. If they really do disband the police I hope the order goes out for every one of them to take all the weapons and ammo they can carry home with them.

NOTE: I am not saying that if we just abolished any presence of law enforcement altogether that things would be better. I *AM* saying that the semi military, SWAT enabled, "US VS. THEM", environment is absolutely toxic. Note that I did not mention the race thing. I am saying that the level of violence by police in the USA against ALL races is enough to justify tearing down the whole structure and starting over.

Defund the whole f*cking mess. Start with the FBI, then ATF, then CIA, then 80% of SWAT, then down to a skeleton crew to deal with security for the most prominent officials.
This is hitting the nail right on the head. It should be obvious to anyone that we have a huge problem with the law enforcement establishment in this country, and as the saying goes, the fish rots from the head. If the FBI and NSA can conspire with an opposition political party to overthrow a duly elected president, what lessons do you think local law enforcement gets from that?

Couple the institutionalized and politicized corruption we see on full display in Washington with the heavily militarized police forces we have now, staffed on the front lines in large part by military veterans who came of age in Iraq and Afghanistan where anybody and everybody you saw in the streets might be, and probably was, planning to kill you, and it's very easy to see how cops, especially in the big cities, can start to see some of the citizens they are sworn to protect as the enemy. Which then becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

Yeah, we have a real live dumpster fire on our hands here, and I don't know the way out of it. Do I think the colonial model of a sheriff and a few sworn deputies could handle 21st century criminals? Not an effing prayer. I don't think the Raleigh police force needs to have armored vehicles on the streets to stop a riot, either. So, yes, we need to seriously rethink how we want law enforcement to be handled, and I don't want the solution left in the hands of left wing activists who will very predictably use their shiny new "public safety" departments against their political enemies. If anyone out there has an answer please let me know.

They are in part the product of the current legal system which is incapable of dealing with them. It’s made worse by the concept of punishment amounting to incarceration when the only real and viable option is death. The core of the problem isn’t so much thr foot soldiers (cops) as the generals and other command staff. However, if we abolish the current system, while things may or will get worse in the short run, eventually people should wake up and take out the trash, even if it is out of necessity.

At the same time, what really needs to end is the policing for profit and revenue along with victimless “crimes against the state”, and things l8ke “civil asset forfeiture” and if it takes throwing the proverbial baby out with the bath water, so be it.

Notice how nobody talks about ICE anymore?
He does reality shows now.

Aren't the congressperson from Minnesota shown in the picture and the former presidential candidate the ones that should be listening to the protesters rather than the ones protesting? They made the laws that the protesters are protesting.
Listen, they made the laws to help. It's not their fault that other people corrupted the intent and used loopholes. Once they're re-elected, they'll work night and day to protect all of us from the other people...
