Motorcycle Humor

Rode down to Annabella's for breakfast this morning in Spivey’s Corner.

There were more dead small mammals in the road, and the resulting collection of vultures. I was beeping my horn for 80 miles trying to clear them out of the road, there and back.

I hear this all the stinking time.
I had breakfast with four guys at Pittsboro “biker’s coffee” last Sunday. I am the youngest. Their respective ages are 72, 79, and 83. The 83 year old has logged 1.5 million miles, rides a Road Glide faster than me. His wife is 79,
And hit an idiot who turned left in front of her a few weeks ago, and still rides a 900 lb bike. She’s not big as a minute.

I seem to get more of those comments because I still ride a sport bike, the young guys come to check it out and when I pull my helmet off they realize how old I actually am. I've had a couple of the observant ones tell me that they I knew I was an old feller because of my velcro sneakers I wear.

There’s a second 83 year fella who just sold an XR 1200. He’s tall and lean. Would pull in wearing full leathers and a full face. I thought he was a thirty something the first time I saw him till he peeled off that helmet.

He sold it and bought a KLR.

I hope you are still doing Sunday coffee in Pittsboro when I retire back to Carthage, I'll join you if I can.
I’m a relative noob to that crowd in the past year and the venue has moved a few times over the years, but hopefully will continue there.

I asked a friend when would I be eligible to sit at the OG table. He said whenever I decide to pull up a chair and sit there. It’s been enlightening and entertaining.

Does a Geritol tablet come with every coffee served?
