Post yer bikes. All types encouraged. If it has two wheels and a motor. We can tolerate 3 wheels.
Lets keep the chatter to a minimum in this thread please y'all. Let the pics do the talking. Plenty of other places for endless Harley mods (Heh).

For you whippersnappers: If ones I used to own count, I worked for years to acquire and build these two Gold Stars. I was a Brit bike guy since the 1960s, but when I got old, I got tired of constant maintenance, chasing obsolete parts, city traffic, etc, but there are few things more satisfying than wringing out a big single on the right road. Now I have two Japanese bikes and more free time – but when I dream about a good ride, it's on a Goldie :D.

I've had several Guzzis, I like them a lot. Trouble was, all mine had long legs! Always wanting to go 90+ mph when I would have been better served by minding the speed limit :p
They are geared to run on European roads, that is certain! This is my 10th Guzzi. I reckon that makes it an addiction of sorts lol

With respect to the two Gold Stars posted above, here's a sound recording of when I started the new motor in the racer for the first time. This is a link to the file posted on my Dropbox account, I hope you can play it (WAV file, less than 2 MB). Turn it up: Goldie startup

I had taken the bike to the disused Pepsi bottling plant (now where Costco is) on Old Wake Forest Road, next to Thompson Cadillac coz I didn't want to start the unmuffled bike in my neighborhood. Using rollers under the van wheel to spin the motor up, the first sound you hear is the rollers turning. When the Goldie lit up, it set off all the car alarms on the Caddy dealer's lot next door 😃. Once I had confirmed it would run, I shut it down and slung everything in the van and GTFO!

I bet at full song that would have sounded great going into and out of a corner.

I would like to hear more about @Snal~ ‘s LSR competition — maybe in a different thread to avoid further hijacking this one

Member Stick man bought my last Bike and I thought it was going to be the last, but I couldn't take it anymore. Found this Sporty in nice shape but I couldn't find a way to go get it due to my Wives illness and cant drive anymore. This fine young man offered to help me and took a few hours out of his life to deliver it to me. This is a classic case of a young soldier who served in Afghanistan helping out an old soldier that served a long time ago. There is much to be said about the brotherhood of soldiers and helping each other. I'm back to riding guys, even if its just round the neighborhood.

While certainly not the "perfect" motorcycle, Sportster's acceleration is fun up to a point, inline 4 high rev. acceleration after that will leave you disappointed in them. I like both, for different usages. Enjoy!

I think he knew what he was getting into when he bought it.

Glad to see you back on two wheels @Lager

Some Facebook memories popped up today, the last few years of race bikes I had....I miss those days dearly, I need to find pictures going back to my first Honda 50 I had when I was 6....

All those Harley heads were for my dads side gig of porting and polish heads....learned a lot from that....also my first car 87 YJ.

KTM for the win.
ktm 07 003 .25.jpg

I loved my KTM two strokes, had 3 total, an 85, 125, and a built 144....the 03 125 2 stroke was the best bike I ever had......but the Honda 4 stroke I ended up on was way better than what KTM's 4 strokes were at the time...
Keep this up and we’ll have to ride up to the Tiki Bar.
Oh wait! Yer gonna be there in November.
