Murder beach at it's finest... be warned

All property between 10th and 21st from 17 By Pass to the ocean is The prime zone. This includes all of BATB. After dark the blue lights predominate the light show there. Car breakins, strong armed robbery, assaults. BATB is an urban Nightmare. If you have a nice car, it will be broken in to. If you wear nice jewelry or a watch, you are fair game.

Down on the Boulevard between 9 Ave South and 20th North after 9 PM is a war zone.
Less than 10% of all the crap going on gets reported. Look at the stuff @RS just reported last night. This will make Ass Book but never the paper or TV news. Doesn't help the tourist industry.

I always carry 2 guns. I wear the Paranoid crown with pride. I have decided that I will Not be a victim. The ones casting those of us as being Paranoid are on their own. They are the "Rabbit People" that get hit daily on the beach. If you determine you are going to the Murder Beach anyway, I pray that your last thought won't be "Oh Hell I was told this could happen".
Coming down next weekend. Stay in N.Myrtle by the dunes. Ride bike early morning before thugs wake up and am always back in complex before dark. Won’t even walk on beach if it’s dark. Guess I’m paranoid too..

My youngest stepdaughter and her hubby and kid are headed to MB today. I read this thread to her in person. It makes no effect on her. Her statement was "I'll flip out on them." If she comes back crying it will be "I told you so."

Wisdom is taking knowledge and applying it. She's stupid.

I just got a covert bag from a cordless grease gun. It doesn’t attract attention to and from the car.

See Im the opposite, I think it draws much more attention as an item that would be quick to flip at a pawn shop. ESPECIALLY when the case is so pristine looking as yours looks to be.
Quick smash and grab and off to the pawn shop to sell a nice branded tool, well good gosh what a lucky day when it's not a cordless drill after all.

I'll get something else, a Milwaukee bag is a quick steal item. But it's free and not going to be used. I had to check.

Go to most any pawn shop these days cause they are full of tools. Find that same bag that is still functional but used and weather worned. They will jump at the chance to trade bags. I am a firm believer in hiding things in plain site. Very few people give a well used backpack, tennis racket bag or well worn tool bag a second glance. Also, back in my motorcycle days,I kept an empty holster strapped to my bike in plain site. Anyone that passed my bike saw the empty holster and figured the owner was carrying.

I have found these to be very useful for "hiding in plain sight". Fits a kid-sized electric guitar, everyone assumes that's what's in it, not a second glance from anyone:

I'll be the odd ball here, but, again, easy to pawn.
I like the old bag 'trick'
Lately Ive been carrying a G17 with me, toss it (in it's holster) in an old backpack that's quite beat up but still functional. I even have it 'opened' a bit so you can see some of what's in it - reeces pieces and some wet wipes

Its a nice bag. Spray paint that sucker flat black.... It will still be a nice bag, but should have much less curb appeal for snatch & go.

Cool. I'm talking "rifle" and, most importantly, what doesn't look out of place. Whether dressed for business, casual, or "on-vacation", I've found a kinda-long case that says "probably a musical instrument" works better for me than one that says "maybe a rifle". I'm not going to leave it laying on a car-seat so I'm not worried about some meth-head being interested in my mini-guitar.

Sooooooo.....the lady, who was not there, wants to blame the police for the person not getting medical attention.

I don't know SC rules but in NC it's "until relieved by someone of higher medical training" which if the ambulance was on the scene "for some time", thus they were the higher medical trained.

Everybody want to blame the police for everything.

Oh....and I would bet there's A LOT more to this story than in that article. 12 people gonna pull up to beat your tail over asking to use a lighter and getting denied? I call bull on that story.

Re: Your your last statement.... ( “More to the story”) Seems to me just a year ago there was a series of UNprovoked attacks by black youth who were blindsiding complete strangers with sucker punches!!!?... It was all over the news!!
Since when do thugs, bangers and criminals need ANY “excuse” whatsoever for there violent, savage aggression...
GOD man, any proof you could possibly need has been front and center for damn near a month now...Turn on your damn TV!!

I think it was here but somebody had a “baby bag” ... down to decoy bottles ... that was made for specifically for his truck gun. It was even made out off a crazy ducky pattern cloth.

Diaper bag is where it's at. Always had a pistol in it when kids were small. Even stick one in grandsons bag if we travel with them.

I will not spend my hard earned money to go anywhere where I have to worry about getting ganked. I'm strapped and not worried about it anyway but...damn! Where we go to the beach, me or my wife walk the beach anytime of day or night. You gotta be out at low tide to get the best shells and sand dollars and sometimes low tide is O dark 30.
