We now have permission to use the training center at Camp Raven Knob for the class and the range as well. Cost is being worked out and will be available shortly. Sign up is absolutely necessary since we have to order materials from the NRA and register the course with them and to insure we have enough ammo to shoot the qualification and basic course. Current information follows-
Date- 1/27/2024
Arrival on the evening of 1/26 is ok. There are bunkrooms in the training center. Bring your own sleeping bag and dinner for Friday. There are bathrooms and a kitchen in the training center.
Time- 8a start.
Breakfast will be at about 0730 but we'll pitch into the materials as soon as everyone is ready. Lunch will be at 1200ish depending on how things are going. Range component will be after lunch. We do not promise 5 star dining, but you won't go hungry.

What to bring- depending on your arrival time, you might need a sleeping bag. If you have your own guns and ammo, that's ok, we'll have a "few" things too. Be ready for information overload.

The instructor classes are a separate date and time. Please consider becoming a certified instructor to help at a youth camp, youth outing, your home range, etc. There are precious few certified instructors and the cert is required these days for insurance liability for shooting events.
You'll have fun, meet new folks, andexperience parts of the muzzleloading world you've never thought of. Check out the Raven Knob website. There's a shot of "Flintlock Bob" in the Cripple Creek area wearing his Rev War colonial militia garb and demonstrating flintlocks to the Scouts.
