I’m on my 3rd tank and I’m averaging 37.3 MPG. My wife and I spend a lot of time driving and knowing we have one more kid that will start driving I wanted something new for myself. 2021 Toyota C-HR. Not as much room as my Scion XB but smoking it on mpg. Straight gas motor

Getting between 31-34 in my Rav4. I haven't driven the truck in probably 5 weeks. Hope it starts.

I test drove one of those, really didn’t like how it felt and sat. They look nice, though. Still got my Scion XD with ~329k miles on it. It’s going to eventually get replaced by a Subaru WRX

Hehehehe

My wifes car averages between 58/62 depending on the quality of the gas. Plenty of room to carry my big carcass too.

I've been getting 34-36 on my 2020 Accord EXL. It's just now a year old and since my wife has been working from home, it only has 5k miles on it.

That's the funniest thing I could think of. Your wife riding a moped with you on the back.

Why is it when someone says ANYTHING all you have is putdows. Sure gets old reading it

Don’t read it than.

I was just adding to the “how we beat the gas prices”. My wife has a Toyota Prius ( don’t believe me? Ask @fieldgrade he’s busted my chops enough about it, thus the hehehe) and those are actual miles per gallon.

Congrats on the new ride.

As far as MPG that is what the CHR was designed for. About every modern 4 cylinder compact sedan gets 35-40 MPG hwy ratings nowadays. They're much more comfortable, better safety rated and distance per tank capable than any of the crossover rollerskates under 3000lbs.

Nice yoda. We are looking at something this size or maybe rav4 size.

Yea, my little Focus hatch manual gets 30 if you drive it like a race car. 40+ on the highway. Really fun little car.

So that's where all the kids sock money went too. :p

Our 2020 Kicks is right at that 38 mark always. Great little extra to have around.
My new car on order is a Hybrid...it runs off gas and when you stomp it it runs off Even More Gas!!!

I’m jealous and need to look into something like this. I really want a Tesla for driving around town. I got 160 miles out of 23 gallons of diesel this weekend hauling heavy to work and back.

My 2005 LeSabre gets this on the highway.

That's with the 3800 V-6.

I had one of these, sold it back to the dealer during the whole dieselgate stuff.
I miss that thing.

Me too. They started to release them after the fix this past summer. Practically giving them away. I got a model year newer, a trim level higher, and 50k less miles than my old one for less than half the price of the last one... and got 0%.

Egr delete, dpf delete, cat delete, Def delete, and a mild tune = 50+mpg AND 80ftlb more torque.

I’m dedicated to environmentalism. My goal is to return all of the carbon trapped in the earth by the ELE that wiped out the dinosaurs to it’s natural state in the atmosphere.

95 Tahoe, 13-14 mpg.
personally, i hate the environment and i'm trying to release as much methane and other hyrocarbon compounds as possible. from my butt.

I averaged 9.8, pulling a loaded 6'x12' tandem axle trailer from NC to MO. Of course, that was running 75+ mph the whole way
When a neighbor of mine heard Cousin Jerry complaining about his F-150 getting 12 MPG he said.....My Chevy Dually wouldn't get 12 MPG on a Roll Back😁🤣😂

1500 Chevy with a 5.3. It'll pull, but it gets right thirsty. My old Dodge would barely get 10 empty.

Same here, my dually generally gets 10-11 regardless of what i'm pulling behind it. There was ONE time I got 19mpg coming back from MB, pulling a car on a dolly. The planets aligned and I must have had a tail wind the whole way.

I've considered picking up a little hatchback fuel sipper with gas prices going up but I think i'm going to hold out for the Elio. 😁

When we went on vacation to Montana, we flew into Rapid City,SD to do the monument drive. Our rental was a C-HR identical to yours. I loved that car! I told my wife that I wanted one for an everyday driver. We put 1200 miles on it in a week and loved every minute of it.

Have a friend who sold his back too. I would have one if they weren't FWD, so I have to put up with 19mpg in my Mustang.

I had a 2003 Buick Regal for three years as a work car. Averaged around 35 mpg, believe it had that same engine.

Great car!

That 3800 engine is awesome. Well built, and seemingly a perfect balance in power/weight for that size vehicle. I've had 2 LeSabres (95, 05), the first had 311,000 miles plus on it before I got rid of it. This one is at 282,000 and still going strong.

That balance seems to produce the excellent milage it gets.

One of my brothers had a car with the same engine and got well over 300,000 miles on it.

Welllllllll for what it's worth.....@RS consistently got over 30 mpg driving home from Philly with the cruise set on 80 mph in her new Corvette in 2017. Some with Manuals were reporting 40 mpg.

While my Texas Ranger is in the body shop getting cosmetic surgery, I have a rental vehicle to abuse. Should be easy on gas.

nice ride bro! It's awesome what these new cars can do while still having some space and style
In the same light, I had a Nissan Kicks for a while as a rental - similar in size and mpg, I really enjoyed it!

as for MPG - I JUST got home (in the last 20 minutes) from Fredericksburg VA. Round trip, including in-town driving and with AC on, Im at 40.2mpg
And I was getting on it coming home.
