nothing stating to use lethal force. on to carry lethal weapons.

i know words are hard but yea big difference between weapons and force.

so really i think the article is meaning instead of riot gear and stuff, they’ll have their issued weapons

A defense official confirmed the authorization includes permission for Guard troops to use lethal force.
The request came from federal authorities and was approved by Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy – who oversees D.C. Guard deployments since the District is not a state – indicating it was not a request from the local government.


Also from the same material, I don't believe if the troops were sent to DC with "Rubber Chickens" they would be running "Back Ground Checks" either.

Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., requested that Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy have the service's Criminal Investigation Command review National Guard troops deployed for the inauguration "to ensure that deployed members are not sympathetic to domestic terrorists," according to a readout released from Crow's call with McCarthy.

McCarthy agreed to the request, according to the readout. But Hoakenson told reporters, "I am not tracking that."

The 350-400 NG heading for Raleigh have some who are laughing. One guy remarked this week he was more scared when they were activated for ANTIFA and BLM stuff last summer than what might go on this coming week. Back last summer they had to worry about the leftist using everything from piss & acid to bricks & rocks ... he’s not worried about the conservatives ... except for infiltration instigators starting something ... getting to far out of hand. His biggest worry is there will be too many “leaders” (NG, Capital Police, RPD, Wake Sheriff, etc) and too many different agendas which could lead to conflicting orders.

wasn’t trying to come off in a negative way or trying to call anyone out about the same, t and if i did, my apologies, i read through the red state link and the new york times one, didn’t say anything about it. only they they’ll have “lethal weapons”.

in the end, it wouldn’t surprise me if they had close to, if not the same ROE we had in the sandbox. either way, things are gonna be a lot worse moving forward.

on top of that, when Katrina hit, pretty sure they were lodes for bear also.......

Not sure what the big deal is...

Aren't all peaceful transfers of power supposed to include a military occupation of the capitol while all opposition is being actively silenced and the former party leaders put on trial?

From some of the pictured, a fella could hand out a couple dozen boxes of jelly filled donuts and walk right through their machine guns and sidearms, unscathed. If I knew you could be a lardass, I would go down and join up just to ride around in a tank.

It zero “Trump” protesters ... because I truly believe there will be quite a few ANITFA/BLM/Anti-Trumpers up there to try and stir crap with Trumpers. It would be even better if they started something and the truth came out like a few already who have been caught instigating stuff already.
