I guess it does sort of throw a wrench in the works when the Dems state "Everyone is in favor of gun control" and the majority of the state is filling up commisioners meetings to avoid it.

Wilkes is now a 2a sanctuary county. I wasn’t able to find out anything more than I knew before though. People were saying we need to elect a different sheriff so I’ll have to look into that as well.
Davidson County NC has started picking up steam! How would someone go about getting this started in their own county?
I’m in Wilkes NC and would like to see it happen here as well as all over the state.
BWAAA HAA HAAAMaybe I should email my Meck Co Sheriff.
I personally appreciate you stating your position on this. I will remember it going forward. Thanks again.I don't see any good reason why you might need a rifle that can fire more than 10 rounds before inserting another clip--or a shotgun that can fire more than seven.
Simply stated as was the above. Thanks again. Now we know where you stand. Now I know that those proposals may sound unreasonable to those who believe there should be NO restrictions on any kind of firearms, but to me--honestly--they make good sense.

So isn't this all a bunch of words? What does it mean? No laws were changed it is just a "feel good" response to Virginia Dem's going off their rocker? I mean, on the one hand i am glad for solidarity of 2A guys, but i wonder if this wave of energy could be directed into a real law of some kind. Something with actual teeth.

Technically, in California, the DEA could still show up to a farm, seize its assets and arrest its owners/operators. and extending that to the 2a sanctuary, the state could use its officers to arrest individuals or shut down FFLs, however the local law enforcement will not conduct such arrests and will not assist in such arrests or seizures etc.
Yeah, I'm from East Tenn. I was raised in the mountains and most all my kinfolk are there and have been for a very long time. Your right mountain folk in East Tenn. and Western NC most any of the Appalachian mountain chain is a different breed of people. It'd be nice if most of all the southern states declared themselves gun or 2nd amendment sanctuariesThose are all mountain counties.
Mountain folks have a long history (in this area about 300 years, and the native Indians long before that) of telling governments to go pound sand, and no other subject will get them fired up as much as 'taking the guns'. Even anti's who don't have a dog in this fight or perhaps do, know better than to get in the face of a mountain man about his gun. They usually just stick to their other ideals such as health care/gay/abortion/weed.
And these TN mountain folks are not like mountain folks in the Sierra Nevada's. They don't have big fancy properties with composting barrels and gated driveways. They're hardcore woodsmen and women.
3rd..the US has never won a war/conflict/police action in mountainous terrain.
Never.
Which officers would the state use?

If I may add to this...
California MAY not assist in helping federal agencies seize the assets of pot farmers.
However, CA has a lot of licensing and taxation that goes into "legally" farming for pot. If you don't keep paying graft... er... taxes and licensing/regulatory fees... the state will very much assist in agencies taking everything you have and split the booty.
It has happened a few times already.
I will tie a towel around my neck and attempt to fly off the top of the Bunk House if this Ever passes in Horry.
I just sent an email to Sheriff Terry Johnson asking him about his position on this as well as his support in making this happen in Alamance.
